Patisse on Tour to Berry

Last week was indeed busy as we hit the road for our first "Meet The Maker" Tour to Berry. First stop after a leisurely trip down the coast was to Berry Sourdough Bakery where we visited owner and baker Joost at his production facililty with woodfired ovens. Next stop to South Coast Providores where hosts Carole and Ian put on a fantastic morning tea featuring their jams and relishes. Then off to Terara to visit the Boyd Brothers, 4th generation farmers with fabulous and fresh cauliflower, cabbage, beans and yummy rhubarb -  lots of rhubarb pies to take home! Lunch was at a small, hillside winery called Morellis where Isaac and Chris two young hotshot winemakers plied us with their wines. Last stop to Kangaroo Valley Olives production facility where we purchased lots of oils and delicious tapenades. All in all and informative and yummy day!!!!!!!!!

Darlington School visit

Last week our Head Chef, Vincent Gadan charmed the students at this Darlington School with his wonderful charisma and knowledge of everything to do with pastry and desserts. As you can see he is not only amazing in the kitchen but a natural in the classroom, that pen in his hand was like a conductors baton. He had his audience in the palm of his hand.
Vincent also charms his adult and children students at our wonderful Cooking Classes held at Patisse, Waterloo in his kitchen. Please see our updated class schedule for the rest of the year and our newly released 2011 program.
See you soon for a great coffee and dessert and much more at Patisse.
